Succinct Fremantle

Succinct Fremantle

PS Art Studios, Fremantle, 2015

This series of little free hand sketches are the result of Potter’s “self inflicted” 30 sketches in days challenge, based around the iconic town of Fremantle. Using water soluble graphite with ink on WC paper and beautifully framed by Bitches Brew framers (around the corner from Potter’s studio in Fremantle), these works are quintessentially Freo.

Succinct Fremantle was presented with the support of the City of Fremantle and the National Trust of Australia (WA) as part of the 2015 Western Australian Heritage Festival and the Fremantle Heritage Festival. Along with the exhibition Potter also held an open studio, to allow the public to come in for a glimpse at the way he works, as well as conducting free drawing workshops for both adults and children.
